Ingredients
- Chicken -1 Kg
- Coconut Grated-1/2
- Turmeric -1/2 tsp
- Onion-1/2+1/2
- Ginger -2 inch
- Garlic pods-12
- Tamarind-1/2 lemon size
- Ghee-1 Tbsp
- Salt
- Xtra flavours Bafat powder- 4 Tbsp
- Oil -4 Tbsp
- Xtra flavours Garam masala-1 tsp
Instructions
- Clean and wash the Chicken, and set aside.
- Take all the items that are specified for grinding except the Tamarind and roast them for 3-4 minutes using 1 Tbsp of Ghee.
- Cool it and then add it to the mixture jar, along with the tamarind and Xtra flavours Bafat powder, and ground it into a fine paste.
- In a khadai, heat 3-4 tbsp of oil and fry the remaining half chopped onion for 1-2 minutes on medium heat.
- Once the Onion has softened, add the ground masala and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the chicken and mix
- Now add the appropriate amount of water and salt and blend. Cook for 2-3 minutes on a high burner, letting it boil.
- Now close the cooker lid and let it cook until the chicken is cooked (typically for two whistles).
- Allow the pressure to release from the cooker, then add 1 tsp of garam masala and garnish with a few coriander leaves. Cook for a minute.
- Delicious chicken bafat curry is ready to serve. You can create any meat curry using the same approach.
