Ingredients

  • Chicken liver 400 gms
  • Onions 2 medium size
  • Tomato 1
  • Green chillies 3
  • Curry leaves few
  • Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp
  • Grated coconut 1cup
  • Xtra flavours Bafat powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt as per the requirement
  • Oil 2 tbsp

Instructions

  • Thoroughly wash the liver.
  • Cut it into small pieces, typically dividing one liver into about four pieces.
  • Heat oil in a pan over medium flame. Add finely chopped onion, green chilies, and curry leaves. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until the onion changes color.
  • Add homemade ginger-garlic paste and sauté until the raw smell disappears.
  • Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften.
  • Add the liver pieces and salt, mixing well. Let it cook for a while, then pour in half a cup of water. Allow it to cook for 2 minutes on medium flame.
  • Sprinkle Xtra Flavours Bafat powder (a spice blend that enhances the taste of dishes like pork, veg kurma, or stir-fries) and mix well.
  • *Note:* Ensure the water has evaporated before adding the powder.
  • Add grated coconut, combine well, and cook for another minute on medium flame.
  • Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve.
  • Pairs well with chapati, dosa, or rice.
