Sprouts Gravy

Roshan
Green Gram Sprouts Sambar is a nutritious and flavorful variation of the traditional South Indian sambar. Made with protein-rich sprouted green gram (moong sprouts), aromatic spices, and a tamarind-based broth, this dish brings together health and taste in one comforting bowl.
Unlike the usual sambar made with toor dal, this version uses sprouted green gram, which not only adds a delightful crunch but also boosts the protein and fiber content. It's a great way to incorporate sprouts into your everyday meals, especially for those looking for healthy, plant-based protein sources.
Tempered with mustard seeds, curry leaves, and a hint of asafoetida, and simmered with vegetables like drumsticks, carrots, or tomatoes, this sambar pairs beautifully with steamed rice, idli, dosa, or even millets. It’s perfect for lunch, dinner, or even as a hearty brunch option.
Whether you're looking for a wholesome twist to your regular sambar or a nourishing meal that’s easy to digest, Green Gram Sprouts Sambar is a must-try. It’s simple, comforting, and deeply satisfying – a true celebration of South Indian flavors with a healthy upgrade.
